===== General Comments =====

  * Formatting on the pages is obtained by using a simple syntax. Before making a new page or editing an existing page, you are encouraged to go to the [[playground:playground|playground]] to figure out how to make lists, headers, etc.
  * Using the H1, H2, etc headers  will autocreate a table of contents for your page.
  * Before adding a page, check out the category guide to find the best place for your page.
  * Editing a page does not destroy the old page. Old versions of the page are saved preserving an edit history and the possibility to return to an earlier version
  * When editing a page, make sure and fill out the edit summary




===== Creating a new page =====

  * To add the page "newpage", type in indyradres.org/newpage in the browser location bar. Then click the 'create this page' link.
  * To add the page "newpage" in category "category", separate them by a ':', like indyradres.org/category:newpage
  * Categories can be nested, like indyradres.org/generalcategory:subcategory:newpage
  * Don't create a new page if there already is a page with the same content. Instead edit the page to make the content up to date.


===== The Home page =====

  * Each category should have a 'home' page. (If it doesn't, make one)
  * The home page serves as a navigation page or summary of the pages in the category
  * When adding a page, update the home page as well
  * If you add a new category, edit the sidebar to add a link to the home page for the new category

===== Editing pages =====

  * Pages aren't owned by anybody. This documentation project is a collaborative effort. Feel free to add/update content to existing pages.
  * Fill in the edit summary box (next to the save, preview and cancel buttons) with a summary of your changes
  * Each time you make an edit, the previous version is saved (Old revisions link top left)
